This CAT6a Extension Kit features an external copper CAT6a shielded cable, suitable for various installation needs. The cable can be cut to the required length for a professional finish. It is made of the highest grade pure copper outdoor CAT6a shielded cable, ideal for running from a network point to another location where internet or network access is needed, especially when wireless is not an option. The kit includes cable clips for securing the cable to surfaces and two brick buster plates to cover drilled brickwork where the cable enters or exits the building, helping to prevent water ingress when fitted with silicone. The network face plates have a colour-coded wiring diagram (TIA/EIA-568-B) and a tool-less design, eliminating the need for an IDC punch down tool to attach the CAT6a cores. Standard pre-terminated CAT6a cables can then be connected to both face plates for a high-quality CAT6a extension capable of 10Gbps. Both the wall plates and cables are fully shielded to protect against interference from power cables. For best results, testing with a network tester is recommended. The kit includes: 4 Pair CAT6a Outdoor Cable (Copper 0.251mm², 23 AWG, Foil Shielded, Gel Filled, UV Resistant, Cold & Damp Tolerant), 2 x CAT6a Shielded Face Plates with Back Box Screws & Cable Tie (tool-less design), 2 x 47mm Surface Mount Back Boxes (flush mounted options available upon request), and 2 x Brick Busters.
