The Knipex 180mm StriX VDE Insulated Cable Cutter Shears Wire Stripper is a versatile tool designed for electrical installations. It features integrated cable shears for clean cutting of copper and aluminum cables without crushing. The cutting edges are induction-hardened for durability. This tool has universal adjustment of the stripping blades via a knurled screw and lock nut, allowing easy adaptation to the required diameter of solid or stranded wire. Its slim dimensions ensure easy access in tight spaces. The pliers have a bolted joint for precise, zero backlash operation. Made from high-grade special tool steel, forged, and multi-stage oil-hardened, the pliers are chrome-plated. The handles are insulated with multi-component grips and are VDE-tested. It is suitable for single, multiple, and fine-stranded conductors with plastic or rubber insulation up to 5.0mm diameter or 10mm² cable cross-section. The jaw increments provide a visual aid for stripping consistent lengths (11mm and 16mm). It can cut copper and aluminum cable up to Ø 15mm (5 x 2.5mm²).
