Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: This is an automatic watch, meaning it powers itself through the motion of the wearer's wrist. To initially set the time, gently unscrew the crown by turning it counter-clockwise. Pull the crown out to the appropriate position to set the time and date, then push it back in and screw it down clockwise to ensure water resistance. If the watch has stopped, you can manually wind it by turning the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times while it's in the fully closed position.
Compatibility: The Oris Aquis Diver Watch is designed as a standalone timepiece. Its primary compatibility is with its owner's lifestyle, excelling in aquatic environments and formal/smart-casual settings. The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted for a comfortable fit on most wrists.
Care: To maintain its performance and appearance:
- Rinsing: After exposure to salt water or chemicals (like chlorine), rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth.
- Cleaning: Clean the case and bracelet periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Crown: Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water.
- Servicing: It is recommended to have the watch serviced by an authorized Oris service center approximately every 5-10 years to ensure the longevity of the movement and seals.
