Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface to be repaired is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or loose material. For best adhesion, temperatures should ideally be between 5°C and 25°C.
- Cutting: Cut the tape to the required size using sharp scissors or a utility knife.
- Application: Peel back a section of the protective backing paper. Carefully apply the tape to the prepared surface, pressing firmly from the center outwards to eliminate air bubbles and ensure good contact.
- Sealing Edges: For critical applications, ensure the tape overlaps any joints or edges by at least 25mm and press down firmly.
Compatibility:
This tape adheres well to most common building materials including bitumen, concrete, brick, metal, wood, and some plastics. It is not recommended for use on silicone, PTFE, or polyethylene surfaces.
Care:
Once applied, the tape requires minimal care. Periodically inspect the repaired area for any signs of lifting or damage, especially after severe weather events. Clean the surface around the tape gently with water if necessary; avoid abrasive cleaners.
