FAQs

Are these taps suitable for both hot and cold water?

Yes, these taps are designed to be compatible with both hot and cold water supply lines.

What is the connection size?

The taps feature a standard 1/2 inch thread connection.

Do I need special tools for installation?

You will generally need an adjustable wrench and PTFE tape for a secure, leak-free installation.

How does the aerator save water?

The aerator introduces air into the water flow, which increases the volume of the stream while using less total water, resulting in up to 30% savings.

How do I keep the chrome finish looking new?

Wipe with a clean, damp cloth after use to prevent water spots and avoid abrasive chemicals.

Will these work with a gravity-fed low-pressure system?

Yes, these taps are engineered to function effectively in both low and high-pressure environments.

Troubleshooting

Water dripping from the spout

The internal valve may need tightening or the cartridge washer may require replacement due to wear.

Reduced water flow

Unscrew the aerator at the tip of the tap and clear any trapped debris or limescale deposits.

Leaking at the base connection

Ensure the connection is properly tightened and verify that sufficient PTFE tape was applied to the threads.

Pros and Cons

Corrosion and rust-resistant chrome plating
Ergonomic design simplifies temperature control
Surface resists unsightly fingerprints and water spots
Suitable for both low and high-pressure plumbing

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation requires a standard 1/2 inch threaded connection, which is common in most residential plumbing configurations. Always ensure the water supply is fully isolated before removing old taps to prevent leaks. Use PTFE tape on the threads to ensure a watertight seal during the installation process. For routine maintenance, simply wipe the surface with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads, as these can dull the chrome finish over time. If water flow becomes restricted, the aerator can be unscrewed to clear any debris or limescale buildup.
