Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Connect the Router: Plug the router into a power outlet and connect it to your modem using the included Ethernet cable.
- Power On: Turn on the router and wait for it to boot up.
- Access the Web Interface: Open a web browser on a device connected to the router via Ethernet or WiFi. Enter `router.asus.com` or the default IP address (usually `192.168.50.1`) in the address bar.
- Follow the Setup Wizard: The ASUS setup wizard will guide you through setting up your internet connection, creating a network name (SSID), and setting a password.
- Configure Advanced Settings: Once the setup is complete, you can customize additional settings, such as enabling AiProtection, setting up guest networks, and configuring QoS.
Compatibility
The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 is compatible with:
- All devices supporting Wi-Fi standards 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be.
- Internet service providers (ISPs) that provide internet through Ethernet.
Care
- Placement: Place the router in a central, open location away from obstructions like walls, metal objects, and other electronic devices.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the router has adequate ventilation to prevent overheating. Do not cover the router.
- Updates: Regularly update the router's firmware through the web interface to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Cleaning: Clean the router with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
