This guide is for artists, crafters, and designers working with glass painting. The Pebeo Vitrail Medium Matt (45ml) is designed to reduce the gloss of standard Vitrail colors, offering a sophisticated, soft, and diffused effect. While it provides excellent control over transparency and blends seamlessly, users should note that it may alter the drying time of the paints.

It is specifically formulated for use with Pebeo Vitrail colors. Mixing with other brands may yield unpredictable results and is not recommended.
While the medium softens gloss, achieving full opacity depends on the coverage of the Vitrail color itself. For opaque results, use the medium with opaque Vitrail colors and apply liberally.
The ratio can be adjusted based on the desired effect. A 1:1 ratio (medium to paint) provides a significant matte effect and softens the color. Experimenting with ratios from 1:4 to 1:1 (medium:paint) will yield different levels of matte finish and color intensity.
Pebeo Vitrail Medium Matt is designed for non-porous surfaces like glass and acrylic. It is not recommended for porous surfaces such as unglazed ceramics.
Pebeo Vitrail paints, when used with their appropriate mediums, are generally water-resistant once fully cured. However, the painted surface should still be handled with care and not submerged in water.
When stored correctly in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place, the medium should remain usable for at least 1-2 years.
Ensure thorough and even mixing of the medium and paint. Try mixing a smaller batch first to achieve a consistent blend before applying.
Increase the proportion of Matte Medium to Vitrail paint in your mixture. Experiment with ratios to find the desired level of matte effect.
The medium's viscosity can be affected by temperature. Allow it to reach room temperature. If still problematic, ensure you are not contaminating the medium with other substances.
This is a potential effect of using matte mediums. Ensure good ventilation in your workspace and allow adequate drying time. Avoid over-application.
