Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This watch is a mechanical timepiece and does not require electronic setup. If the watch has stopped, it can be wound manually by rotating the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times while in the 'out' position. Ensure the crown is fully screwed down after setting the time or date to maintain water resistance.
Compatibility:
As a standalone watch, compatibility is not a major concern. However, ensure any aftermarket straps or bracelets you consider are compatible with the 38mm lug width specific to this model. Standard watch tools will be required for strap changes.
Care:
- Cleaning: Clean the watch case and bracelet regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish.
- Water Resistance: Always ensure the crown is securely screwed down before exposing the watch to water. Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorinated water and dry thoroughly.
- Servicing: Like all mechanical watches, the Certina DS Action Diver benefits from periodic servicing (typically every 3-5 years) to maintain its accuracy and water resistance. Consult an authorized service center for professional maintenance.
