Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The HOMCOM Rollator Walker is designed for straightforward, tool-free setup and folding. When new, it will likely require unfolding and securing its components. For folding, the walker can be easily collapsed in approximately 5-10 minutes. This process involves disengaging the folding mechanism and, for a tidier fold, removing the wheels and rear legs as designed. Ensure all locking mechanisms are securely engaged before use.
Compatibility
This rollator walker is specifically designed to accommodate users with a height between 160cm and 190cm. The six-level height adjustment feature allows for a tailored fit within this range, ensuring comfort and proper posture during use.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your rollator walker, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the aluminum frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For the padded seat and backrest, use a gentle fabric cleaner or simply wipe with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried after cleaning.
- Wheels: Periodically check the all-terrain rubber wheels for debris, hair, or other obstructions. Clean them as needed to ensure smooth rolling. Lubricate the wheel axles with a silicone-based spray if squeaking occurs.
- Brakes: Inspect the dual hand braking system regularly. Ensure the brake levers are responsive and the cables are intact and not frayed. Test the brakes before each use to confirm they engage effectively and hold the walker stationary when locked. If brakes feel loose or ineffective, consult the user manual for adjustment or seek professional assistance.
- Storage: When not in use, fold the walker for compact storage to protect it from dust and damage. Store in a dry, cool place.
