Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
To install these screws, ensure you have the correct size hex key (Allen wrench) for the M10 socket head. Insert the screw into the pre-drilled and tapped hole or through the component being fastened. Tighten using the hex key until snug, applying torque according to the specific application's requirements to avoid over-tightening or stripping.
Compatibility:
These screws are designed to mate with M10 nuts or M10 tapped holes. Ensure the material you are fastening into can support the high clamping forces generated by Grade 12.9 screws. Compatibility is high with standard M10 receiving threads and components intended for metric fasteners.
Care:
While the Bright Zinc Plated finish offers corrosion resistance, it is advisable to avoid prolonged exposure to highly corrosive environments. For long-term storage or use in humid conditions, consider applying a light coat of oil. Clean with a dry cloth to remove dust or debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the plating.
